Curve LCD Phone by Samsung in OCTOBER !

Google wants to invade your eyes with Google Glass and now there are rumors that Apple might also be working in the same space.

Now with less options left on how to innovate with the smartphone, Samsung is making a move by introducing a “curved phone” this October based on the Yomu flexible OLED technology that it demonstrated earlier this year. Yomu opens up new grounds of possibilities such as wrap-around displays, wearable tech and a foldable phone and one with a retractable, roll-up display.

Samsung executives said that the company plans to “introduce a curved display smartphone in October,”.

Earlier this year the company showed off an actual working prototype of such a smartphone which had a flexible display.  The screen curves around along the phone’s right edge, giving extra space for providing content. In its demo, Samsung showed how the phone, when its screen is covered with a jacket, could give users space to see incoming text messages and acting on them.

Samsung executives declined to comment on the price, release date or the technical details of the new ‘curved-display’ smartphone but one thing is for sure  it is coming in October.
